Monopoly Men.War against a foreign country only happens when the moneyed classes think they are going to profit from it.

Monopoly Men. Our system of electing politicians to office is rotten and corrupted to its core, because organized money has long since replaced organized people as the author of our politics. And most of it comes from rich people and corporations, who now own our political process—lock, stock, and pork barrel. Money becomes evil not when it is used to buy goods but when it is used to buy power, Government by organized money is just as dangerous as government by organized mob.

are we really being attacked?

The two-war(Afghan,Iraq) strategy is just a marketing device to justify a high [military] budget(a pocket full of friends for the greedy) By inventing cheap lies, putting the blame upon the nation that is attacked,  most Americans are convinced that the war is just. The United States cannot successfully wage  wars around the world unless the media and Congress cooperate.  Iraq was not a mistake; it was a crime.

WellPoint insurance hike becomes target for Obama

To President Barack Obama, however, it’s Exhibit A in his campaign to revive the health care overhaul.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, who received the company’s explanation in a letter Thursday, said “it remains difficult to understand” how premium increases of that size by can be justified when WellPoint Inc. reported a $2.7 billion profit in the last quarter of 2009.

Majority leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., went further. In a speech on the Senate floor, he attacked WellPoint and other “greedy insurance companies that care more about profits than people.”

“They get rich while people who already can barely afford their coverage lose their coverage altogether,” Reid said.
